The story about Oneplus and Realme with their parent company - OPPO. The giant smartphone company from China has just noticed they are going to keep their job in EU and NA with Realme and Oneplus will "come back" to China, be forced to be "the local brand only". What felt I am when I knew this? I was shock and I think this will be one of the most hook in smartphone market in 2026 (after the high-raise-price of memory chipset). As you can see, Oneplus is a popular brand in EU and NA, where almost other brand from China can't make sense. They have many hard fans who just bored with the safe area which was created by Apple, Samsung, Pixel. So that why OPPO have to "cut their tentacle" in this lucrative market? I'm here to explained shortly what was happen. Although Onplus is a familiar face in Europe and North America market, their income is absolutely go down up coming to 90% compare to its best time. The high-raise-price of memory chipset and the bleak financial situation of these markets have forced the China’s company get out immediately.
Contrastly, Realme – the kid from one parent will replace Oneplus in these markets. But they will not focus too much in here, instead of that, Realme will pay attention in the Asian market and close their works absolutely in their home. By the way, OPPO, Oneplus and Realme all now run colorOS which is powered by OPPO from the next software up date – Android 17. It will not change too much, all the OS like OxygenOS, RealmeUI or ColorOS are feel just like each other Because OxygenOS, RealmeUI were based on ColorOS. Interestingly, Oneplus and Realme were run ColorOS on their previous devices so that I think it will be easy for you to try new User Interface in your old device which is one of the best OS compare to other andoid manufacture.
Overall, both Realme and Oneplus are forced to replace with other to make the money come to the parent company much more effective. In that way, I think we will never have a chance to see any flagship from both of them but we will have more chance to meet many flagship-killer from our favourite company. It’s good for change in many field and we have to wait for many many impressive devices after then.
